Stuck at home for a while? Try our Sumo Circle! Kids love it and it’s a great energy killer. Perfect for in between study breaks. Some objectives we use for the kids: 1) push each other out of the circle 2) first to take down 3) first to pull guard 4) capture the flag (flag tucked into the belt or pants) ENJOY! We will get through this. This is day 3- we got this!

While you’re away from the academy don’t forget about all the moves you’ve learned in class! Knee slice with the under hook is one of my FAVORITE passes. What’s yours? You can find these techniques and more on our online training! Go to our website under the Library section to create an account and start learning ASAP during this 3 week quarantine. Stay healthy and active!

HELLO LANISTAE FAMILY,
We would like to reach out to our students and family and inform them that we will close the academy from March 16th to March 22nd. During this week closure we hope everyone takes the necessary precautions of social distancing and remaining as healthy as they. These are very conflicting times for all those in our community and the world. But one thing we can be sure about is that we, as the owners of Lanistae Academy truly want the best for everyone. We have never had to close the academy for this long for any reason, so this is very foreign to us. We always strive to keep the school open and functioning in some sort of manner- but as we have given this more thought, a closure does not mean we are being irresponsible owners. In fact, it means we are being responsible, caring and sensitive to all those around us. During this closure, we will also be self-distancing and deep cleaning the academy to prepare diligently for our reopening on March 23, 2020. {Please click our link in BIO to receive the full update from our academy}

A short message from Milton and I. We love our community and we want everyone to be as safe as possible. We are doing everything possible on our end to keep the academy a safe space. Please keep an eye out for a communicative email shortly. Thank you

Today we were fortunate enough to host a free seminar on how to stop trauma bleeding in situations such as major accidents, mass shootings or bombings. Thank you so much to our student and Army National Reserve Officer Dr. James Liao for educating us.
